The Gentlemen's Alliance †, Vol. 01 by Arina Tanemura
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
When I first fell saw this manga I fell in love with the artwork and I just had to read it. Now that I read it I'm sad to have to say that the story does not have the same quality.
The story seems to follow the 15 year old girl Haine, who is nothing but way too childish, and her attempts to make her "one-true-love" fall in love with her. He on the other hand is way too serious and closed. There is no connection for the readers to hold on to.
There are really a lot of characters introduced way too fast and many of them look alike.
This is the kind of manga to read when you just want something you don't have to concentrate about. There's humor and it's very easy-going. But nothing to remember as "the best thing ever".
Me giving it two stars is kind (and one star reads "did not like it" and it wasn't that bad).
